Firmware Update Guide

Introduction

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform a firmware update on the AMFITRACK devices. It is crucial to follow these steps carefully to ensure a successful update.

Requirements

- AMFITRACK device.
- A USB cable, for direct connection.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Download the Latest AMFITRACK Viewer and Firmware

  1. Open your web browser and go to the AMFITRACK website: Amfitrack.com.

  2. Navigate to the Downloads section.

  3. Download the latest AMFITRACK Viewer.

  4. Request the latest firmware binary file: contact us on support@amfitrack.com

Step 2: Prepare Your Device

  1. Connect your AMFITRACK device to your computer (For fastest and best experience use a USB cable).

  2. Ensure that your device is powered on (LED should not be Cyan color in this mode)

Step 3: Update the Firmware

  1. Open the AMFITRACK Viewer, and navigate to the button labelled “FW Update” for the specific device.

  1. Locate the binary file downloaded from the AMFITRACK website: Amfitrack.com.

  2. Do NOT rename the files after downloading them.

  3. When selected, a pop up will appear at the bottom of the AMFITRACK Viewer and say: “Found STM32 Firmware”.

  4. When binary file is selected, press the Update button.

  1. It will go from state: Waiting for file -> Waiting for flash erase -> Transferring file -> File transfer done, rebooting device.

Step 4: Verify the Update

  1. After the update process is complete, it will show the new FW version under the device that have been updated.

  2. If the FW version does not change, press the “Reload Device” at the top right corner.

  3. If the update was unsuccessful, refer to the troubleshooting section below

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues during the firmware update process, try the following steps:

- Make sure you used the correct binary file for the AMFITRACK device.
- Make sure that the device were powered on correctly, and not in charging state.
- Try restarting the AMFITRACK Viewer.
- Try restarting the PC, to make sure that nothing are using to much bandwidth for the USB conenction.
- Send a mail to our support, and we will get back as quickly as possible with the help needed.
